Mother’s Day
What a wonderfully placed day to
remember mothers of all kinds…because a mother isn’t just one who gives or
produces life – not in the least. That’s
the Lord’s undertaking, TO GIVE AND TAKE AWAY.
In the last {almost} five years, I have learned that for a mother, there
is no suffering like being separated from her child in a permanent, everlasting
kind of way. That’s like being separated
from one’s own heartbeat.
Likewise, for families yearning
for children which infertility seems to have stifled, I would suggest to you
that these women and husbands who have empty arms which ache for their child…that
these are as much parents, mothers and fathers to their unborn as you
might be to your living.
Finally, I consider children on
this day who have lost their mother…not children in the sense of age, but people
of any age who live on without the one they called “mom.” For these who have lost their moms and for
moms who have lost their children, I pray for comfort, peace, and grace for you
today. There is nothing more bittersweet
than this day for me – In memory of Parker and in the hope of the futures of
the two little ones the Lord has lent to me for a time on this side of Heaven:
Sawyer and Addison, the two children we have earth side here with
us.
Mother’s Day. What a reminder for us all to remember and
thank God above for the life of those around us, for life is but a vapor…gone
oftentimes far too quickly for those still here on earth.
Happiest of Mother's Day to you.
To those who have lost your mother, may you find peace on Mother's Day.
To those who are or who have found family through adoption, may we celebrate with you!
To those who have lost your mother, may you find peace on Mother's Day.
To those who are or who have found family through adoption, may we celebrate with you!
To those who have empty arms and long for a baby,
to those extended family too, may we be sensitive and walk alongside you.
To all the mentors, sisters, and friends who give
motherly and sound advice, demonstrate grace, and walk in a manner that is
uplifting, thank you.
To those who have lost a baby through miscarriage,
stillbirth, child loss, or adult child death, my thoughts and prayers are with
you.
From the Fullness of His Grace,
Lacey
